For almost 3 weeks now, my husband has been dealing with some serious medical issues. He has spent almost 3 weeks now in bed with a LONG LIST of symptoms that seems to keep growing on an almost daily basis. He’s lost 25 pounds (no appetite in 3 weeks), has had fevers, vomiting, severe nose bleeds, unable to swallow (the back of his throat burned for days), bumps on the roof of his mouth, dizzy spells, dehydration, unable to straighten his arms, unable to walk (his heels hurt so bad), severe migraines, vomiting…and the list goes on.
He is waiting to get a CAT scan and an MRI (hopefully within the next 24-48 hours). He got bloodwork, etc. done yesterday and it turns out that he is anemic. Tomorrow I’m taking him to the hospital to get results from an ultrasound…
We are emotionally drained and we could really use some prayers (and some answers) right about now.

Love according to Isabella
Isabella was playing games on my laptop last night which might have prompted this conversation that she had with my mom earlier today:
Isabella asked my mom, "Why did mommy get a new laptop?"
My mom answered, "I'm not sure."
"I think it's because she loves herself!" Isabella replied.

We are in SOOOO much trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!
so I'll make this brief...
Isabella: “I’m gonna have a baby in my belly soon!”
Pablo: “Excuse me!?!?!?!”
Isabella: “Cause I have two new boyfriends, David and Jeffrey.”
(FYI - David and Jeffrey are her uncles)
I am speechless...

Isabella moments
Pablo and Isabella were hanging out in our bedroom the other night and Isabella decided to draw with a crayon on the light bulb of the lit lamp on Pablo's nightstand. The light bulb started to smoke. Pablo told Isabella that she can't colour on the light bulb because it could start a fire. (Coincidentally, Isabella's favourite show these days is 'Fireman Sam'.)
Isabella's response was, "That's okay. If it starts a fire, first thing we do is run outside to safety, then call Fireman Sam and he will come and put out the fire, then we can go back inside. So it's okay..."
She seemed okay at the time but last night I made the mistake of attempting to leave her in my room while I changed Simon in his room. Supposedly now she is scared of all lit lamps and doesn't like to be left alone in a room with a lit lamp...who knew?!?!?!?!?

This afternoon Isabella asked if I could take the skin off her muffin.
Almost as good as her asking me to take the crust off her apple...

Sunday home videos
Taken November 2007. Isabella was 16 months old. To this day she is still obsessed with putting things in bags and carrying them around.
Awww Muffy
Muffy (who I didn't name), you are a really cute, affectionate cat, but when you stand in the upstairs hall outside of our bedrooms and meow as loud as you can at ungodly hours, waking Simon and I up (because we are the light sleepers), I want to throttle you.

I wanted something I could take to work for breakfast last week and went looking in my Everyday Food magazines and found 'Emeril's Apple and Cranberry Crisp'. YUMMM...and with a Tim Horton's coffee...DELICIOUS!

On the menu
For dinner tonight, I made Baked Chicken with Onions, Potatoes, Garlic, and Thyme. I can't even tell you how delicious this was. The best part was it took less than 10 minutes to prepare. And those are the kinds of recipes I need in my life because I can't spend an hour straight in the kitchen making dinner. I don't mind doing it because I do like to cook, but I have 2 small kids who don't like to stay confined to the kitchen with me for long periods of time. So this dinner is most likely going to be made a few times a month because it was that yummy and that easy to make.

Yesterday I made Emeril's Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Cookies. Super easy to make and super tasty.

New items for the house
My sister Kim loves to collect things and then she gets bored with her collections and then, fortunately for me, I inherit all this stuff! Kim recently asked if I wanted her collection of West German pottery and I was like HELL YEAH. And here they are in their new home:
My parents brought these stuffed animals back for the kids from their trip to Puerto Vallarta. I think they are made out of wool...or some really thick material anyway. Love them.
