Friday was my birthday and even though I felt like crap due to a very bad cold (who gets a cold in the summer?!?!), I was pleasantly surprised to see this on the dining room table when I got home from work:

So, I've been missing. My mom came to visit July 21 and before she'd been here 24 hours, she fell off a bike and broke her femur. 2 surgeries, a week in hospital, 3 weeks in rehab and we just got back from a week long trip to drive her to Kansas. It, quite honestly, has been insane and I haven't done anything with the computer at all for what seems like forever. She's back home now and doing pretty well though she won't be able to drive for 2 more months (and then there's her car which is a totally different story). Anyway! I'm back, sorry to have been gone and even sorrier to have missed your birthday!
