recipes I've tried this week

Saturday birthday details following this week's recipes below (I am too lazy to do two separate posts. LOL!).

Food I made this week started off with the yummiest beef fajitas. They were so damn good:

I was in the mood for some sort of rice dish so I tried this chicken with coconut lime peanut sauce. It was really good, especially with sriracha sauce drizzled over top:

Of course, I had to make pasta so I tried the pioneer woman's spaghetti with meat sauce. To die for. Nothing beats a really good meat sauce. I wish I would have had some garlic bread to go with it. I'm drooling just looking at this photo (and it's past lunchtime and I'm starving):

Lastly, I made something I have made many times - summer vegetables with sausage and potatoes. I add some red wine vinegar at the end which adds such great flavour:

I wanted to make a really easy dessert today so I made sloppy peanut butter pie. It's chillin' in the fridge right now. Can't wait to have a piece after dinner.

My twin sister Kim and I decided to celebrate our birthday yesterday at our other sister and BIL's cottage. The weather was beautiful and my mom did an outstanding job on the food (as always). Our birthday dinner consisted of my mom's lasagna. We ask for it every year. Pablo bought a yummy chocolate cake at a local bakery. I got birthday hugs and kisses from the kids all day long. A perfect day. Here are some pics from my sister's instagram:
