I basically only knew Italian profanities up to that point (thanks to my grandmother). It was a blast but I never used it after that and now I don't remember any of it, except the profanities cause those can always come in handy! LOL! And my french accent is pretty sucky too which is why I hate speaking french.Julia @ thebooandtheboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13981207745509838600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390448067963032986.post-71146977995383796522010-10-21T21:40:43.461-04:002010-10-21T21:40:43.461-04:00I dunno. Then in college, 2 years of a foreign language was a requirement for my degree. At that point, I was already in there and it seemed stupid to change. (Also, I'm lazy so in theory French was easier than a new language.) I can read/translate it pretty well as long as it's not too technical or anything. My accent kind of sucks but when we went to Paris, people were polite and even sometimes appreciative that I tried. I do wish I used it more often because it's really difficult just to try and pull it out my ass when I need it every 10 years or so. ;-)Collettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11118664654134825732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390448067963032986.post-2027738302409048422010-10-20T19:41:13.428-04:002010-10-20T19:41:13.428-04:00What the heck made you want to take french Collett...What the heck made you want to take french Collette??!?!?! I took french immersion all through school and I took a bunch of french classes over the last few years through my job. Working for the government like I do, I need to be bilingual (although I'm not quite there yet). I'm glad Isabella's learning french, especially for later in life if she's going to stay here in Ottawa. French is a requirement for most jobs here...Julia @ thebooandtheboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13981207745509838600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390448067963032986.post-89235970231817773222010-10-20T15:40:18.863-04:002010-10-20T15:40:18.863-04:00I had 5 years of French (including 2 in college) a...I had 5 years of French (including 2 in college) and I can't remember the word for shoes!
