For almost 3 weeks now, my husband has been dealing with some serious medical issues. He has spent almost 3 weeks now in bed with a LONG LIST of symptoms that seems to keep growing on an almost daily basis. He’s lost 25 pounds (no appetite in 3 weeks), has had fevers, vomiting, severe nose bleeds, unable to swallow (the back of his throat burned for days), bumps on the roof of his mouth, dizzy spells, dehydration, unable to straighten his arms, unable to walk (his heels hurt so bad), severe migraines, vomiting…and the list goes on.
He is waiting to get a CAT scan and an MRI (hopefully within the next 24-48 hours). He got bloodwork, etc. done yesterday and it turns out that he is anemic. Tomorrow I’m taking him to the hospital to get results from an ultrasound…
We are emotionally drained and we could really use some prayers (and some answers) right about now.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I have no answers (about anything really) but I can certainly send prayers. Hang in there.

Have him tested for Lyme Disease from a Lyme literate doctor!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was severely ill for over 2 years with us bouncing from doctor to doctor without answers before we saw someone who was Lyme literate and diagnosed him on the spot. It is very hard to diagnose, but symptoms can include all of those you mentioned.
This is the website of my husband's doc (http://www.lymeproject.com/), but do some research and find someone in your area who knows how to diagnose and treat!
Good Luck!
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!! It really means alot to us.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I'll look into Lyme disease (going to look at that site now) and mention it when we go to the hospital tomorrow. A big thank you!
Pablo just started being treated by my doctor who is a phenomenal AND THOROUGH doctor and I know she'll get to the bottom of all this.
I am so sorry to read this, Julia. Sending positive thoughts and healing vibes. XOXO.
