A message from Pablo

To All - I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to read about our family, and all the craziness that has been the last year. Thank you to all of you who show your support to my recovery and ongoing health problems. More importantly, thank you for the kind, inspiring, and calming words and thoughts for Julia and I, in regards to Simon. I am glad you notice how loved he is, as is Isabella. We will love Simon to no end, no matter the diagnosis, and outcome of the therapy sessions. I must say, the best therapy for Julia definitely comes from all your wonderful and thoughtful comments here. It means the world to her to check this site and find endless remarks, encouraging her to stay positive, and look fondly to the future. As I say, if our family can get through what has been the last year, the future looks friendly!

What a world we live in now, where profoundly unknown people such as yourselves can read a blog, make wonderful comments, and pass on high regards, thoughts and prayers, and it feel so therapeutic. Thank you endlessly from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of Simon, Isabella, and Julia, for all of you. and don't ever hesitate to talk about your issues or problems, so we can return the favour, and try and touch up your day, if even only slightly.

Happy days to all of you! You sure make ours better ;),

Pablo (daddy)

  1. The internet is the craziest thing, I met people who are now dearest friends, I found help and support (obviously there's always the anomynous bastard but let them rot in bitternes, I say)
and then it might happen that you follow a blog every day and really feel for their problems and triumphs
such is the case with the boo and the boy
    happy days!

  2. I'm constantly shocked and amazed by this internet/blogging world. I find it fascinating the connections you can have with people you've never met. My sister and her blog partner, Jo, are a great example too. Thanks for visiting all the way from Argentina Maria!!!

  3. Such a sweet post, Pablo. Though we've not met, and who knows if we ever will, it's been an honor to be included in your family's journey. Julia makes me laugh and there are bonds of empathy and friendship that just can't be explained sometimes. It's lovely and oh so weird. ;-)

Although I'm dating myself, I tell Joe all the time that we're the Jetsons--living in the future, where friends come to us through the ether. ;-)

  4. Collette - you are so darn cute and I am convinced that one day we will meet. Heck, you don't live all that far away really. We'll make it happen one day! God knows this family need a vacation!!! It's been a real honour to have met you and your friendship means the world to me.

    Thank you KellyH!

  8. You guys are by far my favorite internet family!!! Sorry to punch out on you there for a bit - had some hard times of our own and sadly don't have quite the knack as you do for sharing it on my site. We're coming out of some dark times now and the first thing I wanted to do was catch up on YOUR posts. I've been wondering & praying for you guys a lot lately as we travelled down a similar path ourselves. I'm catching up on all the latest and then I came across this note from Pablo and ... Wow.

Loving you guys all over again, your optimism never ceases to amaze me. You two are most certainly survivors -- thank you for letting me tag along on your journey and for leaving such an imprint on me.

On a lighter note, I hope you don't mind if I just move my kids right on in to Simon & Isabella's rooms. They are absolutely perfect in every way!!!

  9. That is so sweet of you to say Stacy! I'm very sorry that you've been through some hard times. Some days were hard to share here on the blog but I always felt such relief after I would post. It just made me feel that much better. The support from everyone was so therapeutic. Feel free to email me whenever you feel like like you have to let it out. As you've read, I've been there. ALOT. Thank you for being one of the ones who has listened and been there for me, for us.

BIG, BIG hugs Stacy! And hang in there!!! I'm always here...
