Summer is in full swing around here. The kids had their first week off of school and Isabella turned 8 a few days ago. The weather has been quite hot (YAY) so we spend alot of time swimming at my parents' place. That about sums up the last few weeks....
I'll start off with what I made for Isabella's birthday BBQ - all 4 recipes were to die for and I will be making them again for sure: sausage and pepper skewers, herby grilled chicken kebabs with grapes and shallots, caribbean salad with bananas and red onions and warm lemon and shallot potato salad.
Have you ever tried a burger topped with an egg? This was a first for us and it was FANTASTIC - juicy bacon and egg cheese breakfast burger. The kids thought it looked weird so no eggs for them...
Once again, Isabella begged for fajitas and I was happy to oblige because it is also one of my favourite meals and is usually super easy and quick to make. I tried this delicious skirt steak fajitas recipe.
Needed a pasta fix and this creamy spinach tomato tortellini called my name when I spotted it on pinterest. A perfect weeknight meal. We all loved it.
Back to burgers again because I crave them big time during the summer. Made this ranch burger recipe. OMG was it ever good. 5 stars.
