Simon stats

Simon had his 9 month checkup this morning. As always he is proportionately big. He isn't off the charts like Isabella was but I think he is in the high 90th percentile for height, weight and head circumference.

Simon weighed in at 25 lbs, 1 ounce and he is 31 inches long.

(I checked Isabella's records and at 9 months she was 24 lbs and also 31 inches long.)

Simon is so big...

that he fell out of his Bumbo and landed on his stomach next to it

that when I try to lift him out of the Bumbo, the Bumbo comes with him

that his exersaucer is set to the highest setting and he can practically bounce himself out of it

that he has graduated to wearing size 5 pampers...and they only go up to size 6

that he is the length of his changetable and I need to retire it

that he was awkwardly laying on the baby scale at the doctor's today...limbs hanging over the sides

that he almost looks too big for his crib...almost

Anyhoo, here's a couple more cute shots of my boy.

  1. That's too funny... my son will be 10 months on the 16th of this month and his Bumbo also comes with him when I lift him out. I had to laugh out loud at that. I'm glad Grayson isn't the only one :)

  2. Re the Simon stats, my son will be 2 on the 4th of Sept and he's 25 pounds and 34 inches. They could be twins! Gabe's a peanut though--I'd get a kick out of seeing them next to one another. I love those Simon cheeks. I could eat them up. But not in a creepy way. ;-)

(Came over from your sister's blog and I love, love all the kid room photos. Don't inspire me too quickly--I don't want to have to do anything right now!)

  3. I nibble on Simon's cheeks constantly because they're so darn meaty (not in a creepy way either). Gabe sounds like a cute little peanut!...I have no idea what it's like to have non-huge kids...anyway, thanks for coming by Collette and I am constantly adding/redoing my kids rooms but I'll blame Kim and her blog for that! LOL!
