For the longest time, my mom has really wanted to get an old caravan to put in the back corner of their yard. She finally found one a couple weeks ago and bought it. It is going to be a little outdoor playhouse for the grandkids. It needs a whole lot of TLC but no problem. I took a bunch of shots today of it. Right now it is on my parents' driveway but once the ground is a bit drier, it will get moved into the back corner of their property. The plan is to keep the decor very vintage and fun. My sister Kim has already donated some pink melamine cups and saucers for the wee bitty kitchen. Isabella is in love with the caravan and has already played in it for HOURS. Thanks mom and dad!
Here is where it will go in my parents' yard (behind the horseshoe pit):
and here is what the view would be out the front of the caravan towards the rest of my parents' yard (their house is off in the distance - you can see it behind the pool):

Man, that's gonna be super fun.
ReplyDeleteFun for Isabella to play in and even more fun for the rest of us to decorate!!!!!!!!!! (I'm so excited)
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this? What a great idea & your mom has a beautiful yard.
ReplyDeleteHave fun w/the project.
Thanks LR! We're having a blast fixing it up so far!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO awesome - I love reno'd trailers. Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, hope you and your family are doing well. That is so awesome! I am so envious. I wanted my mom to put a camper on her land but she thought I was nuts. I would actually live in there. Looking forward to seeing more photos after the TLC.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy! We're all doing well - thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis trailer is one of those projects where I'm going to be really sad when we're done with it. The Etsy hunt for items has been a blast! The painting of the interior was a royal pain in the ass but the end result is amazing. Can't wait to get the floor down and then start decorating!
If you go to Sisters of the Fly, you will see hundreds of vintage trailers fixed up really nicely. They are a group of women that travel around in little tiny vintage trailers.
ReplyDeleteSo cool Nutbird!
