Yesterday, was the annual fabric flea market in the Glebe (to benefit the Cambridge Street Community School). Kim has been a few times and this was my first time going. OMG did we score some amazing fabric at really good prices. We got asked by a few people what we were going to make with all the fabric and we would always reply 'We don't sew. We just like to collect fabric.' Too funny. We do know a really good seamstress who we go to to make pillow covers, etc. Kim took some photos of everything we both bought. I'll post them here but check out Kim's Flickr to see prices, sizes and how it got divided up between us (the fabric I took home cost me $51.50).
I almost forgot! This morning, we took the kids to see Toopy and Binoo at a local mall. They loved it and Simon got so excited when they first came up on the stage. He practically jumped out of his stroller. Both kids sat through the whole half hour performance and clapped and sang along. Adorable.
those chairs!!! I love the wing backs!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, I just found you blog by googling children's rooms - I am getting ready to meet with a new client to decorate a room for her 2 year old son - and I feel like have hit the jackpot! Your blog is just fantastic... so many great photos of kid's rooms - such great inspiration! But I am so sorry to hear about your struggles with your husband's brain tumor - I walked through brain tumors with two friends & I can relate to a lot of what you wrote about with his treatment experiences - UGH! You sound like an amazing and strong person (and your family is beautiful) - I will keep you all in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteAren't they just awesome Hollie!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sherri for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm thrilled that you like the blog and I hope that all the rooms I've posted give you inspiration. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. It's been a really long 7ish months and we just can't wait for Pablo to be back to 100% (hopefully by the new year...).
