Oh yes folks! - things have gotten worse...

Last night we were doing okay. The kids went to bed and so did I (I was out by 9:15). Then 9:45 happened. Simon started crying and I went into his room to find that he had thrown up all over his crib. I bathed him and prayed that it wasn't going to happen again. And it did. Vomiting and diarrhea till 3am. I went to bed on the floor in Simon's room and woke up at 4am and I too started vomiting. BAD. I finally started feeling better at around 2 this afternoon.

Simon woke up at 6:30am and I was at a loss as to what to do with him. I couldn't move. If I moved, I ran to the bathroom. Isabella was in bed with Pablo watching tv (she had gotten up at 5). I called my parents soon after Simon woke up and OMG, both my parents had woken up in the night with the same thing. I just about cried. My amazing mother said that she would try to get over to my house as soon as she possibly could to help with Simon. I then called my sister Kim and she agreed to come and pick up Isabella. She came around 7:30.

Pablo left for the hospital around 8:45 - thank goodness a friend agreed to drive him there.

My mom managed to come by around 9:30 (I think...most of today is a rather large blur). We both took turns using the bathroom. We were so pitiful. We pretty much spent the whole morning laying down in Simon's room with him - me on a small mattress that I had put on the floor and my mom rested on Simon's little bed in his room. Simon never once cried - not during his whole ordeal and not at all all morning. He is one-of-a-kind. I've never seen such a good kid. He would cuddle with me for a bit then go see my mom and cuddle with her. At around 12:15pm, my mom put Simon in his crib and he fell asleep, as did my mom and I for a few hours. I woke up and felt SO MUCH BETTER. I could actually walk around and not feel sick. Once I knew I could actually handle Simon by myself, I sent my mom home to recover there.

THEN my sister calls to say that Isabella is feeling sick again and she has thrown up a few times at her place. Kim is going to try to get her back here soon.

Simon has only had a handful of dry cheerios today (that stayed down) and ALOT of water. I actually just had a craving for a bowl of cheerios and I'd be overjoyed if it could stay down.

Pablo came back from the hospital I think around 2ish and he'll have to go back next week to continue testing for whatever the heck they're testing him for. They told him he wasn't sick enough to be admitted...

I REALLY need to get a few hours of sleep tonight - since I didn't sleep at all last night. I am sick and tired and need to go lay down.

  3. Yesterday was PURE HELL. Today is MUCH better. I'm not queasy and I've managed to keep down 2 bowls of cereal and some coffee. As for the kids - I'm going to try to get some food in them and see if they can keep it down. Luckily I slept okay last night too.
